Dit is het eerste actieplan dat enkel betrekking heeft op de bestrijding van mensensmokkel in België. Het omvat concrete maatregelen die in de komende jaren geïmplementeerd moeten worden om in te spelen op de evoluerende uitdagingen die verband houden met mensensmokkel.

Het Actieplan 2015-2020 voorziet in concrete acties om mensensmokkel te voorkomen en te counteren. Acties zijn onder meer het monitoren van verdachte vaartuigen, verhoogde informatie-uitwisseling met financiële instellingen en samenwerking met internet providers en sociale media.
