Vandaag, 3 oktober 2013, is de wet van 2 juni 2013 (BS 23 september 2013) in werking getreden. De wet past het het Burgerlijk Wetboek, het Strafwetboek, het Gerechtelijk Wetboek en de Vreemdelingenwet aan, om de strijd tegen schijnhuwelijken en de schijnwettelijke samenwoning te versterken.
