Belgium and the United Kingdom will further collaborate on the issue of transit migration. This was agreed by the Belgian Minister of Home Affairs, the Belgian State Secretary for Asylum Policy and Migration and the British Home Secretary during their meeting in London.

It was announced that an information campaign –targeting the migrants - would be launched in order to fight against the smuggling of migrants.

Furthermore, the bilateral exchange of information will also be improved. A “Single Point of Contact” (SPOC) on transit migration – i.e. a central information point - will be set up.
