U bent van harte welkom op de nationale conferentie van het Belgisch Contactpunt van het EMN. Tijdens deze conferentie worden de belangrijkste ontwikkelingen van het voorbije jaar inzake asiel en migratie in België belicht.

This full day conference will provide an opportunity to exchange information on family reunification schemes, in Ireland and abroad. Drawing on the findings of a recently published European Migration Network study the family reunification policy frameworks operational elsewhere in the EU will be discussed and compared.

The Migration Policy Institute Europe (MPI Europe), the United States Mission to the European Union, the Mission of Canada to the European Union, and the European Economic and Social Committee will organise a conference on 'Social innovation for refugee inclusion: Maintaining momentum and creating lasting change'. 

The Belgian government and the city of Mechelen host a global conference on cities and migration in order to identify actionable recommendations on cooperation for migration governance at local and national levels.

This conference aims to explore the complexity and significance of the migratory phenomenon in the world to come. Key speakers will contribute to the conference.

A joint European Migration Network & OECD event will take place on 9th November 2017. Two thematic sessions are presented within this full-day event: "Challenges and good practices in family migration policies" and "Illegal employment of third-country nationals in the EU: Challenges and solutions".

Today 9 November 2017 is the last day to take part in this public consultation with a view to contributing to the revision of the legal basis of the Visa Information System.

The Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee are organising a conference on "From Crisis Management Towards Everyday Practice: Lessons from the refugees' integration for future labour market and social policies", on 6 November in Brussels.

During the competition which has started on 31 July 2017 and closes on 27 October 2017, professional journalists are invited to submit exemplary articles and media productions on labour migration.

The Luxembourg National Contact Point of the European Migration Network organizes its national conference on 'Moving forward, keeping research relevant- strengthening the research-policy dialogue in the fields of migration and integration' on 24 October in Esch-Beval.

The Austrian National Contact Point of the EMN organizes its national conference on "Migration Movement towards Europe: Data Analysis and Alternatives", on 9 October in Vienna.

Het Belgisch Nationaal Contactpunt van het EMN organiseert een lunchsessie over "illegale tewerkstelling van onderdanen van derde landen in België en de EU", op 5 oktober in Brussel.

From 5 September until 4 October 2017, 11.11.11 organises a series of training sessions on "discussing migration", in several cities in Belgium.

The Finnish National Contact Point (NCP) of the European Migration Network organises its national conference "A longitudinal look at migration - global, Europea and national views" in Helsinki on 26 September 2017.

In het kader van het Estse voorzitterschap van de Europese Raad, zal het Estse Nationale Contactpunt van het EMN op 21 en 22 september 2017 een tweedaagse conferentie organiseren. De conferentie zal worden gewijd aan ‘The EU in the Global Race for Talents: Challenges and Solutions in Strengthening EU’s Competitiveness’.

The European Commission has launched a public consultation to collect evidence, experiences, data and opinions to support the evaluation of the existing EU legal framework for the legal entry and stay of nationals of non-EU countries to the EU Member States. The deadline is 18 September 2017. 

Het Odysseus netwerk en het ‘Centre for European Studies’ van de Vrije Universiteit Brussel zullen, met de steun van het Belgisch contactpunt van het EMN, een debatavond organiseren. Dit debat zal gaan over ‘Immigrant Integration Policies of Belgian Regions: A Mirror of the Diversity in the EU?’

Each year, the Odysseus Network organizes a summer school in EU immigration and asylum law and policy. The courses tackle the most recent legislative, jurisprudential and political developments in the field at EU level.

The first edition of the Antwerp Summer School ‘Europe: Diversity and Migration’ addresses the issue of superdiversity from an interdisciplinary perspective and in doing so, provides participants with concrete insights, information and tools based on theoretical perspectives, empirical case studies and field visits. In doing so it reveals the interrelations between the micro-, meso- and macro-level processes concerned allowing for fine-grained and in-depth understandings of the complex relationships between migration and integration processes.

The Annual Conference 2017 will focus on the Reform of the EU Legal Migration System.

The conference of the Norwegian National Contact Point of the EMN, which will take place in Oslo on 1 June 2017, will focus on the methods and technology used to establish migrants' identities.

In het kader van het Maltese voorzitterschap van de Europese Raad, zal het Maltese Nationale Contactpunt van het EMN op 24 en 25 mei 2017 een tweedaagse conferentie organiseren. De conferentie zal worden gewijd aan de hervorming van het gemeenschappelijk Europees asielstelsel.  

CNCD 11.11.11 and other organizations including CIRÉ, Médecins du Monde and Amnesty International, organize debates, testimonies and social and cultural encounters in different regions in Belgium to promote a different approach on migrations.

The Conference of the Dutch Contact Point of the EMN, which will take place in the Hague on 18 May 2017, will focus on family reunification in the Netherlands and Europe.
