Deze Inform, die is geactualiseerd op basis van nationale bijdragen van 28 EMN-leden en waarnemende landen, biedt een overzicht van recente ontwikkelingen en beleidsbenaderingen op het gebied van staatloosheid, met als einddatum 31 oktober 2025. Het maakt deel uit van de EMN-platformserie over staatloosheid en bouwt voort op eerdere Informs die in 2016, 2020 en 2023 zijn gepubliceerd.

Deze ad hoc vraag brengt de status in kaart van de erkenning van Palestina als soevereine Staat door EMN‑leden en de daaruit voortvloeiende administratieve praktijken met betrekking tot staatloosheid en burgerschap voor personen afkomstig uit de Palestijnse gebieden.

Dit voortgangsrapport geeft een overzicht van de activiteiten en publicaties van het EMN platform over staatsloosheid in de periode mei 2016 tot november 2017.

UNHCR developed a practical tool called "Stateless Persons in Detention: A tool for their identification and enhanced protection". The purpose of the instrument is to facilitate identification o persons in the context of detention who may be stateless and to support the achievement of solutions to their predicament.

The handbook highlights the complex implications of statelessness for individuals, states and societies, with good practices and recommendations aiming to increase engagement and progress in addressing this phenomenon by OSCE participating States.
