What ?

On 4 May 2016, the European Commission presented its proposal for a reform of the Dublin system, which determines the Member State responsible for processing asylum claims in the EU. This proposal has been anticipated since the start of the so-called refugee crisis, as various controversies have arisen surrounding the distribution of asylum seekers between Member States, and in particular the relocation mechanism from Greece and Italy.

In view of the debates in the Council and the European Parliament, the speakers will address different issues relating to the new proposal.

Where ?

The event will take place at the Press Club Brussels Europe.

Rue Froissart 95, 1040 Brussels.

When ?

Tuesday 7 June from 17:00 to 18:30 (welcome at 16:45).
