EMN Portugal’s 2025 Conference will focus on the specific challenges arising from international protection and the integration of beneficiaries. The event will bring together researchers, government agencies, social partners and private sector representatives to exchange knowledge and explore innovative policies and practices. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss national experiences and share successful approaches adaptable to various contexts.

The EMN Lithuania Conference will explore how labour migration and integration policies can be better aligned to address Europe’s evolving workforce needs. Bringing together policymakers, experts, and practitioners, the event will examine ways to build coherent and sustainable labour migration systems. Discussions will focus on fair treatment, inclusion, and long-term outcomes for migrants. The conference will highlight the importance of linking policy design with practical integration measures across the EU.

This conference will draw on international and Irish expertise on integration to support an understanding of Ireland in a European policy context and to share evidence about what works in integration policymaking. Included will be both national and local perspectives on Irish integration.

The EMN Spain Conference marks the 40th anniversary of Spain’s accession to the EU and reflects on four decades of transformation in migration policy and integration. It will explore Spain’s journey from a country of emigration to a key destination for migrants, alongside the evolving EU migration framework. The event highlights the Schengen Agreement’s role and the new European Pact on Migration and Asylum. Policymakers and experts will discuss challenges and opportunities shaping the future of migration in Europe.

The Directorate-General for Foreign Nationals in France of the Ministry of the Interior, together with EMN France and EMN Luxembourg, organise the 4th Workshop on Forecasting and New Technologies in Migration and Asylum Governance. It will gather representatives of EU agencies, international organisations, national authorities and academia. Participants will exchange on current practices, new developments and future directions in this field.

The EMN Cyprus National Conference aims to foster dialogue among policymakers, experts, employers, trade unions, and civil society to discuss how sustainable and effective migration policies can support labour market resilience. The event will serve as a platform to exchange experiences, showcase good practices, and develop practical guidance for national and EU-level policymakers.

The EMN Italy National Conference 2025 focuses on the implementation of the European Pact on Migration and Asylum. Organised by the Central Directorate for Migration Policies within the Italian Ministry of the Interior, the event highlights the role of coordinated multi-level governance involving European, national, regional, and local actors. The conference aims to explore policy developments, governance structures, and practical experiences related to migration and asylum management in Italy and across the EU.

On 27 October 2025 in Luxembourg, stakeholders will gather to discuss how the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum addresses statelessness as a vulnerability. The meeting will focus on early experiences with implementing the new obligations under the Screening and Asylum Procedures Regulations. Organised under the EMN Platform on Statelessness, it will provide space for exchange among national experts, EU agencies, and international organisations.

Organised by the Czech National Contact Point of the European Migration Network, the conference will explore forthcoming changes and approaches to integration policies across the EU. It will also reflect on the development of integration policy in the Czech Republic and support the definition of a long-term national vision, including the roles of the various actors involved.

This conference aims to facilitate discussion among authorities and experts on labour migration and the response to labour market needs through sustainable and effective migration policies on a national and EU level. Selected institutions and experts will address the labour market trends and workforce needs in Cyprus and the EU, the challenges and opportunities of legal migration pathways for Cyprus, and EU best practices.

Fedasil is organising an exhibition on voluntary return and reintegration at the Wintercircus. The Ghent-based Magnum photographer Carl De Keyzer portrays the stories of, among others, Rosa from El Salvador and Igis from Albania. The EU Commission launched a call for proposals under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) to finance projects aiming to improve healthcare access for migrants, support migrant women through better labour market integration, enhance digital literacy, create accessible education, ensure the protection of migrant children. Participants will gain insight into the key policy changes and challenges that shaped migration and asylum in Europe over the past year.

In July 2025, the Odysseus Network for Legal Studies on Migration and Asylum in Europe organises the 25th edition of its yearly summer school. It will focus on the European immigration and asylum policies from a legal perspective, including the latest developments in 2025. Special emphasis will be placed on the adoption of the New Pact on Migration and Asylum.
