On the occasion of the second anniversary of the activation of the TPD, this Migration Policy Institute Europe webinar will discuss what will happen when the TPD expires in a year’s time. The findings from comparative research in Latin America, Turkey, and Europe on approaches to temporary status and the arc of public support for displaced persons will also be presented.

The Department of Work and Social Economy is organizing an information session to explain the changes in regulations regarding the employment of foreign workers in Flanders. Such changes will enter into force on 1 March 2024.

During this policy talk, Jean-Louis De Brouwer (Director, European Affairs Program, Egmont Institute) and Ralph Genetzke (Director, ICMPD Brussels Mission) will assess the main lessons and migration policy developments of 2023 and offer their insights for the year ahead in a discussion moderated by Violeta Wagner (Regional Portfolio Manager, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, ICMPD).

Researcher and author Pascal Debruyne will present his book which contains stories of parents and minors who struggle through the family reunification procedure and stories of care providers who try their best to support these families. Panel discussions will also take place with experts in this field.

EMN Malta, in collaboration with the Human Rights Directorate, organises a conference on intersectional integration. The aim is to discuss the need for an intersectional approach in policies, strategies and services relating to migrants who, as a non-homogeneous category, have multiple identities.

The 4th edition of the annual Migration & Health Seminar, jointly organised by the Institute of Tropical Medicine and the University of Antwerp (MIGLOBA; previously CEMIS), will focus on mental health and migration.

This conference will focus on access to education and the role of education in the development and social inclusion of migrant children. The German Contact Point to the European Migration Network (EMN), in cooperation with the BAMF, organises a conference on "Resettlement, Humanitarian Admission, and Complementary Pathways to Refugee Protection". Current national and European developments and challenges in the field will be discussed with a variety of national and international guests.

Organised under the framework of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, this conference will bring together policymakers, practitioners, and representatives of industries and worker unions, and allow for meaningful discussions on the current state of labour migration, trends, challenges, and possible solutions.
