The Finnish National Contact Point (NCP) of the European Migration Network organises its national conference "A longitudinal look at migration - global, Europea and national views" in Helsinki on 26 September 2017.

The Estonian Contact Point of the EMN will host the EMN Annual Conference entitled “The EU in the Global Race for Talents: Challenges and Solutions in Strengthening EU’s Competitiveness” on 21-22 September 2017 in Tallinn. It is part of the official programme of the Estonian EU Council Presidency.

The European Commission has launched a public consultation to collect evidence, experiences, data and opinions to support the evaluation of the existing EU legal framework for the legal entry and stay of nationals of non-EU countries to the EU Member States. The deadline is 18 September 2017. 

The Odysseus Network, with the support of the Belgian Contact Point of the EMN, organizes an evening debate focusing on "Immigrant Integration Policies of Belgian Regions: A Mirror of the Diversity in the EU?"

Each year, the Odysseus Network organizes a summer school in EU immigration and asylum law and policy. The courses tackle the most recent legislative, jurisprudential and political developments in the field at EU level.

The first edition of the Antwerp Summer School ‘Europe: Diversity and Migration’ addresses the issue of superdiversity from an interdisciplinary perspective and in doing so, provides participants with concrete insights, information and tools based on theoretical perspectives, empirical case studies and field visits. In doing so it reveals the interrelations between the micro-, meso- and macro-level processes concerned allowing for fine-grained and in-depth understandings of the complex relationships between migration and integration processes.

The Annual Conference 2017 will focus on the Reform of the EU Legal Migration System.

The conference of the Norwegian National Contact Point of the EMN, which will take place in Oslo on 1 June 2017, will focus on the methods and technology used to establish migrants' identities.

On the 24th and 25th of May, the Maltese National Contact Point of the EMN organizes - in the framework of the Maltese Presidency of the European Council - the annual EMN conference. The conference will be dedicated to the following topic: the reform of the Common European Asylum System.

CNCD 11.11.11 and other organizations including CIRÉ, Médecins du Monde and Amnesty International, organize debates, testimonies and social and cultural encounters in different regions in Belgium to promote a different approach on migrations.

The Conference of the Dutch Contact Point of the EMN, which will take place in the Hague on 18 May 2017, will focus on family reunification in the Netherlands and Europe.

The Conference of the Swedish National Contact Point of the EMN, which will take place in Stockholm on 12 May 2017, will focus on family reunification in Sweden and in the EU.

This conference of the German Contact Point of the EMN, which will take place in Berlin on 4 May, focuses on return counselling, integrated return management and reintegration.

The European Migration Network organizes a half day event on Migration and Asylum in the EU: Recent trends and policy developments, on the 26th of April in Brussels.

This info day will inform participants on the EU financial support and ways to optimize its use in the integration work. Participants will also be able to exchange good practices in this matter.

The conference of the Slovakian Contact Point of the EMN, which will take place in Bratislava on 23 March 2017, will focus on the role of municipalities in the integration of refugees.

This roundtable discussion will examine how public bodies and NGOs can better communicate with refugees to support integration.

This joint seminar organized by the Estonian Contact Point of the EMN, UNHCR and IOM focuses on the current state, challenges and future directions of resettlement in Estonia and elsewhere.

The European Migration Platform will meet for the third time to focus on access to Europe, examining safe legal aternatives to the perilous journeys migrants undertake, how to access services upon arrival and rights they are entitled to.

The EESC and its Permanent Study group on Disability rights are organizing a public hearing on the situation of refugees and migrants with disabilities on 14 February 2017.

Six years after the promotion of a “new approach to a new neighbourhood” following the 2011 uprisings, what is the state of play of EU’s cooperation with the MENA region in the field of migration and asylum? This session will allow to reflect on the EU's external cooperation in the field of migration and asylum with South and East Mediterranean countries.

Today is the opening of a photo exhibition focusing on Melilla, Europe's Southern border. This exhibition is the outcome of a one year and a half project initiated by four youths graduated in journalism.
