EuroMed Rights public event: Partnerships between the EU and its Mediterranean neighbourhood (Brussels)

Six years after the promotion of a “new approach to a new neighbourhood” following the 2011 uprisings, what is the state of play of EU’s cooperation with the MENA region in the field of migration and asylum? This session will allow to reflect on the EU's external cooperation in the field of migration and asylum with South and East Mediterranean countries.

What

During this public session organized by the Euromed Rights network, EU officials from the European External Action Service, the European Commission as well as the Maltese Presidency of the European Union will share their experience with civil society organisation representatives active in the defence of the rights of migrants and refugees from over 15 countries in the Euro-Mediterranean region (Maghreb, Mashreq, Turkey, and Europe) on newly established cooperation patterns and the need for greater mobility for both migrants and refugees.
