This ad hoc query examines the measures taken by EMN Member and Observer Countries to maintain the mother tongue of students with a migratory background. The query addresses such measures in preschool, primary school, and secondary school, as well as the economic resources and fundings to finance these measures.

The Center for the study of democracy presents a handbook within the project “Integrating Refugee and Asylum-seeking Children in the Educational Systems of EU Member States: Evaluation and Promotion of Current Best Practices” – INTEGRACE.

At the occasion of this Itinera event, various experts, including Dirk Jacobs (ULB) and Jasper Dag Tjaden (Migration Policy Group), gave their vision from both a Belgian and European perspective on "Education & Integration".

This introduction programme is aimed at refugees and beneficiaries of subsidiary protection who, when leaving a centre, wish to know more about living and working in Belgium and adquire computer skills.

These two days close a research carried out during three years by the Asylum seekers reception department of the Belgian Red Cross and by the Training center of the Federation of the public social assistance centers with the support of the European Refugee Fund
