The 8th EMN Educational Seminar on Migration will be about “Migration in a Multilateral World” and will take place online from 24 till 26 August 2021. During three intensive days, the Seminar will focus on how migration and multilateralism is intertwined and how the international cooperation affects migrants and refugees in transiting or destination countries.

From 7 until 9 July 2021, the International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion in Europe (IMISCOE), a European network of scholars in the area of migration and integration, will hold its annual conference. The event, entitled "Crossing borders, connecting cultures", will be held entirely online. 

The Academy of European Law (ERA) organizes its annual conference on EU Border Management between 9 June 2021 and11 June 2021. 

What is the EMN? How does it operate? Who is involved? And how can I engage with the EMN? The “Getting to know the EMN” open day on 2 June 2021 will offer participants the opportunity to find answer to these questions and more.

On the 9th of May, the European Union celebrates 'Europe Day'. This day commemorates the date of the Schuman Declaration, which was the starting point for today’s European Union.

CRIPEL and CEDEM Ulg organize a study afternoon to present the key elements of the reform and address other questions including integration, access to social rights and work market.

"Carrefour des Cultures" proposes a cycle of 5 cine debates putting forward women migrants who, by their trajectories and actions, go against stereotypes concerning them. Space is left open, after screening, for exchanges around the themes at stake.

During this discussion on the integration of newcomers in Wallonie, three projects will be examined more closely, namely the CIRÉ desk for newcomers in Ixelles, the regional integration centre in Charleroi and Couleur Cafe in Malmedy.

On Wednesday 5 December in the European Parliament, key stakeholders, including EU Anti-Trafficking Coordinator, Ms Vassiliadou, will comment on the realities of combating trafficking.

The 2012 ELENA Advanced Course on the Right of Refugees will take place in Madrid, Spain from 30 November to 2 December. The course is aimed at legal practitioners, decision makers and staff of national asylum authorities.

During this open door day, participants will discover the work of several migrant entrepreneurs, asking practical questions on the development of their projects and future opportunities.

This seminar aims at analyzing the state of play in Belgium in terms of prevention and protection of child victims or at risk of FGM and promoting the thinking about the implementation in Belgium of a protocol for the prevention and protection of such persons.

This conference takes place within the framework of the project "Awareness raising of the risks associated with irregular migration and support to vocational reintegration of migrants in the Republic of Congo" (2011-2012).

This Conference, organised by the EMN CY NCP within the framework of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU, will support the policymaking process in the field of immigration and international students, notably in the development of the planned review of Council Directive 2004/114/EC.

This year's annual conference of the Academy of European Law will focus on the role of European agencies in the migration process as well as the impact of the CFR especially in asylum matters.

CIRÉ, Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen and ADDE organize a practical training to familiarize participants with the functioning of the ECHR, allowing them to identify cases to be appealed to the Court.

The Centre for Equal Opportunities and Opposition to Racism organises a conference to confront situations of differences of treatment of migrants on the basis of their residence status with the principle of non-discrimination.

Kruispunt Migratie Integratie organizes a study day in Antwerp for specialists to analyze current practices and case-law on Article 9ter and discuss whether sick persons are sufficiently well-protected under the Aliens Law.

The ADDE proposes a cycle of 5 training sessions focusing on residence, protection statuses, work, social assistance, nationality, statelessness and international private family law. It is intended for social workers, legal advisers, lawyers and officials dealing with these issues.

To mark the 6th EU Anti-Trafficking Day, the Cyprus EU Presidency and the European Commission are organising the conference 'Working together towards the eradication of trafficking in human beings: The Way Forward'

On 11 October 2012, The Immigration Office together with Fedasil organize an information session aimed at providing useful information on how to submit an admissible project under this call for projects.

In view of the new legal framework and the interest taken by civil society in the EU's management of external borders, including its fundamental rights dimension, the Ombudsman seeks to clarify, by an own-initiative inquiry, the implementation by Frontex of its fundamental rights obligations.

This conference will close the ARCKA project « Assessing, recognizing competences and certifying knowledge acquisition valuing human capital of children of foreign origin in education and training in Europe » that is cofinanced by the European Commission.

The Symposium provides a platform for key stakeholders to disseminate knowledge on the most sustainable and successful integration strategies, which involve both migrants and the host societies at a multi-sector level.
