The Inform provides an overview of current mobility provisions within the EU acquis to encourage the mobility of third-country nationals. It explores challenges and barriers which affect such mobility.

What are the challenges/barriers which affect the intra-EU mobility of third-country nationals? The study analyses this question as well as the EU acquis and national policies of relevance in this matter.

As labour and skills shortages have been increasing and are expected to continue rising over the coming decades in all EU Member States, the European Commission published an action plan setting out key measures that the EU, Member States and social partners should take in the short to medium term to address this challenge.
