Around 15 000 fewer asylum applicants registered in the EU27 during the first half of 2010 compared to the same period in 2009

Compared to Q2 2009, the number of applicants increased in Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, France and Germany

During Q2 2010, nearly four out of ten Russian asylum applicants registered in the EU27 were minors aged below 14.
