Join the Asylum and Migration Policy Event of the Belgian Contact Point of the EMN in order to discuss the main developments of the year 2017 in the fields of migration and asylum in Belgium. 

What?

The Belgian Contact Point of the European Migration Network (EMN) organizes an asylum and migration policy event 2017.

This conference will allow panelists and participants to discuss and analyze the main developments in the fields of migration and asylum in Belgium in 2017. More specifically, the three panels will focus on:

  • Reception and international protection: including the (draft) laws modifying the Immigration Act; developments regarding the reception of asylum seekers;  and EU developments and negotiations relating to the new phase of the CEAS.
  • Legal migration and integration: including the cooperation agreement relating to the residence and work permits; and the integration pathways in Belgium.
  • Irregular migration and return: including developments in the field of voluntary and forced return; and smuggling in human beings and the impact on transit migration.
