Annual Report on Immigration and Asylum 2014: Synthesis Report (EMN)

The EMN Annual Report outlines the most significant political and legislative developments in the field of migration and asylum in 2014 at the EU level and within (Member) States.

The EMN Annual Report on Immigration and Asylum 2014 (Synthesis Report) provides an overview of the most significant political and legislative developments, as well as public debates, in the area of asylum and migration, at both the European and the national levels.

This Synthesis Report was prepared on the basis of the national Annual Policy Reports drafted by the different Member States and Norway (all the country reports are available here). It summarizes and compares the main findings of these reports within an EU perspective.

More precisely, the Synthesis Report provides information on the following subjects:

  • Common European Asylum System
  • Unaccompanied minors and other vulnerable groups
  • European policy on legal migration and integration
  • Securing Europe’s external borders
  • Irregular migration and return
  • Actions addressing trafficking in Human Beings
