4th Annual International Symposium on Preventing Human Trafficking
On Wednesday 13 November 2013, Public Policy Exchange will host the 4th Annual International Symposium on Preventing Human Trafficking, in Brussels.
What?
Human Trafficking is an increasingly disturbing phenomenon in Europe, with terrible consequences for victims. At EU level, there are two tools to guide Member States in the fight against Human Trafficking: the EU Directive 2011/36 and the EU Strategy towards the Eradication of Trafficking in Human Beings 2012-2016, which sets out concrete and practical measures to be implemented over the next five years, placing victims at the forefront.
This Annual International Symposium hopes to encourage greater political will, facilitate policy discussion and explore comprehensive and integrated solutions to properly recognise and meet the needs of all victims of human trafficking, through thought-provoking topical debate.
