Possible topics for papers include the effects of migration on poverty, inequality and human capital formation; social networks and migration; diaspora externalities; remittances; brain drain; migration and institutional/technological change.
What
A call for papers is launched prior to the 9th international conference on migration and development to take place on 13-14 June 2016 in Florence.
Travel and accomodation in Florence for up to three nights will be covered. A selection of papers from the conference will be considered for a special issue of the Journal of Economic Geography.
When
Submissions of full papers (pdf) are expected by 15 January 2016.
Decisions wil be communicated by 25 February 2016.
