This Report synthesises information collected annually to provide a descriptive analysis of the situation in the Member States and to identify trends in relation to the Stockholm Programme.

Following the period of consultation from 29 October 2013 to 21 January 2014, the Commission has made collected opinions available with a view to contribute to the new agenda for Home Affairs.

The Dutch Migration Policy Department plans to organize a two-day seminar in The Hague with policy makers and academia to discuss and share research results and policy challenges relating to the Stockholm migration chapters.

From 29 October 2013 until 12 January 2014, the Commission of the EU organizes a public consultation, inviting all interested ones to contribute their opinion on the New Agenda for Home Affairs.

Researchers and academics are invited to submit proposals for presentation of concluded research and/or forthcoming research (papers/reviews/synthesis studies) before October 1st, 2013 with a view to preparing a two-day conference in the Hague on "Migration, Stockholm and Beyond".

The Justice and Home Affairs Council, including the Belgian Ministers Joëlle Milquet and Annemie Turtelboom, and State Secretary Maggie De Block, met on 6 and 7 December 2012. The ministers also discussed issues concerning Immigration and Asylum.

On 30 June 2012 the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union, taking over the Danish Presidency, presented its 6 months programme. Asylum, Migration and Borders is one of the priorities of the Cyprus Presidency's Operational Programme.
