The sociologist Christian Joppke examines the delicate balance that states face in promoting policies that are aggressive enough to further social cohesion yet restrained enough to respect immigrants’ moral autonomy.

The political philosopher Will Kymlicka published his research for the Transatlantic Council on Migration. He studied what he calls the "central myths" about multiculturalist policies and provided evidence on related achievements.

Lecturer Raluca Radescu from the CEMIS (Centre for Migration and Intercultural Studies) - Antwerp university, will examine multiculturalism issues, addressing community versus individual rights illustrated by the case study of Roma early marriages in Romania.
