The Centrality of Employment in Immigrant Integration in Europe

The Political scientist Randall Hansen has published his study for the Transatlantic Council on Migration. He studied complementary about immigration and integration in Europe.

Randall Hansen analyses the discourses and main arguments which often present the roots of integration related problems as cultural. He argues that employment and income are rather the main obstacles which curb integration of immigrants. Hansen faults European immigration policies for their inability to ensure a fair access to the labor market, education and training systems to migrants.
