24 projects related to the reception of asylum seekers and other beneficiaries are subsidized in 2023

Fedasil funds specific projects every year. In 2023, 16 projects receive national funding, of which 4 projects concern the activation of asylum seekers through employment, and 8 projects benefit from European funding (AMIF).

Projects with a national subsidy focus on four thematic priorities:

  • Theme 1: Adapt the reception network to the needs and vulnerabilities of the beneficiaries (3 projects)
  • Theme 2: Increase the quality and flexibility of the reception network (3 projects)
  • Theme 3: Promote targeted initiatives to improve living together within and outside the reception structure (5 projects)
  • Theme 4: Encourage increased resilience and autonomy of residents (1 project)

Alongside this national call, Fedasil has also launched a specific call around activation through employment and participation of asylum seekers in life in society. Four projects were selected in this field.

Projects with AMIF support focus on five thematic priorities:

  • Theme 1: Strengthen the capacity of the network with regard to the reception of people with psychological/psychiatric problems (2 projects)
  • Theme 2: Adapt the reception network to the specific needs and vulnerability of rights holders, in particular unaccompanied minors (3 projects)
  • Theme 5: Encourage increased resilience and autonomy of residents (3 projects)

For two themes, no project was selected: (1) take targeted initiatives aimed at improving living together inside and outside the reception structure, and (2) increase the quality and flexibility of the reception network. Fedasil will shortly launch a new call to this effect.
