On the basis of a field study, The King Baudouin Foundation examined in more detail the marriage migration from Emirdag to Brussels with a view to identify profiles, aspirations and motivations of the migrants involved.

The Global Report 2012 provides an overview of patterns and flows of trafficking in persons at global, regional and national levels. The report also includes a chapter on the worldwide response to trafficking in persons and country profiles for each of the 132 countries covered by this edition.

The main objective fixed to this report is to describe the statistical trends on international migration and asylum for the reference years 2004 and 2005 in Belgium.
