EMN Luxembourg and Council of Europe meeting on Children and Statelessness

This multistakeholder meeting, co-organised by EMN Luxembourg and the Council of Europe within the framework of the EMN Platform on Statelessness, will focus on child-friendly procedures around statelessness and nationality, the special case of children regarding the burden of proof and access to nationality for children.

What

During this meeting, the EMN Luxembourg Inform entitled ”Guardianship of Unaccompanied Minors” will be presented. For further information, please read the Inform attached below.

Roundtable discussions will be organised to collect feedback on the above-mentioned Inform and to reflect on the challenges and good practices from the country perspective with regard to unaccompanied minors.

The European Commission will also present the current and future priorities in the context of the New Pact of Migration and Asylum.

Finally practitioners and experts will be invited to exchange information needs and challenges that should serve as a basis for future events.
