CGRS publishes Data on Asylum Applications for June 2011
Every month, the Office of the Commissioner General for Refugees and Stateless Persons publishes a document containing the statistics on the asylum applications and the decisions taken.
The number of asylum applications, the principal nationalities involved, the number and nature of the decisions, as well as the evolution of the workload can be consulted in the monthly statistics document.
In June 2011, 1.873 asylum applications were registered by the CGRS, of which 1.405 were first applications and 468 multiple applications.
In June 2011, the top three countries of origin were Afghanistan, Iraq and Rusland.
The CGRS also presents its statistical overview of the past years.
