Annual Report on Asylum and Migration Policy in Belgium 2014 (EMN)

This policy report provides an overview of the major developments in the field of migration and asylum in Belgium in the year 2014.

This is the 11th policy report of the Belgian Contact Point of the European Migration Network (EMN), which covers the period January-December 2014. The report provides an insight into the most significant political and legislative developments in the area of migration and asylum in Belgium over the course of the reference year, and includes relevant statistics. The report also provides information on the most important debates at the political level and/or within wider society, as well as on the implementation of EU legislation.

More specifically, the report focuses on the following subjects:

  • Legal migration and mobility
  • International protection (asylum)
  • Unaccompanied minors and other vulnerable groups
  • Countering trafficking in human beings
  • Migration and development
  • Irregular migration including smuggling
  • Return

The report is available in English.
